Nestled in the serene village of Bankikodla, just 5 km from the sacred town of Gokarna in Karnataka, India, the Shankar Prasad Foundation offers a sanctuary for those seeking spiritual growth, inner peace, and a deeper connection with nature.

Our foundation is housed in a century-old heritage home, surrounded by lush coconut groves and tranquil paddy fields. This idyllic setting provides the perfect backdrop for reflection, rejuvenation, and community living. 

Our Mission

At Shankar Prasad, we are dedicated to:

  • Community Service (Seva): Engaging in selfless service to uplift and support the local community while honoring the rich cultural and spiritual traditions of the region. 

  • Sustainable Living: Practicing eco-friendly and sustainable lifestyles through our organic farm and animal care initiatives. 

  • Spiritual Education: Offering authentic yoga and meditation practices rooted in the Satyananda tradition. 

Our Offerings

Led by Swami Yogaratna Saraswati, an accomplished sannyasini with over 35 years of experience and training from the Bihar School of Yoga, we provide: 

  • Yoga and Meditation Retreats: Immerse yourself in transformative practices designed to harmonize body, mind, and spirit. 

  • Teacher Training Courses: Deepen your practice and understanding through structured training programs.

  • Community Engagement: Participate in daily ashram activities, including mantra chanting, satsangs, and the weekly Havan (fire ceremony). 

  • Volunteer Opportunities: Contribute to our organic farm, animal care, play school and other community projects.
