Shankar Prasad is a traditional century-old heritage house located in the village of Bankikodla, 5kms from Gokarna, Karnataka an ancient temple and Shiva pilgrimage town with beautiful beaches, forested hills and coastal farming. We run an organic farm, animal care center and love, serve and give to the community however we can..

This century-old heritage house is only a few kilometres away from the breath-taking beaches of Gokarna, located on over two acres of coconut grove and paddy field. Our quiet estate is a perfect getaway to find peace of mind and reconnect with yourself and nature.

We aim to preserve the heritage of the local area as well as to ‘give back’ to the local people, for our own spiritual growth, through seva (voluntary work to help others). We practice simple, sustainable, and eco-friendly living. We offer Spiritual Sojourn, Yoga-Meditation Retreats, Ashram-Community experience and Teacher Training Courses. The classes are held by Swami Yogaratna Saraswati, an accomplished sanyasini trained at the Bihar School of Yoga (Satyananda) with over 35 years of experience.
