Retreat

New Year Retreat

Turn the year somewhere quiet. Practice through the last days of the old year, and begin the new one with a havan rather than a hangover.

How the days run

A different kind of New Year

The days keep the ashram's own rhythm (early practice, karma yoga, satsang in the evening) with a fuller programme of sadhana than usual. A special Yoga Nidra is held on the first of January.

There is nothing performed about it. People come to end one year deliberately and start the next the same way, and the ashram is simply the place that makes that easy.

  • Morning and evening sadhana through the retreat
  • Satsang, kirtan and havan
  • A special Yoga Nidra on 1 January
  • Full board, in the ashram's own rooms
