5–10 day course
Antar Mouna
Inner silence, reached not by forcing the mind quiet but by learning to watch it. One of the clearest of the tantric meditations.
The stages of the practice
Watching, and then letting go
Antar Mouna works in stages. First you become the witness of your senses; then of the thoughts and emotions that arrive on their own; then you learn to create and dispose of thought deliberately. Standing back from the mind in this way is what lets you turn it towards positivity rather than being carried by it.
Past those stages is the practice's own point: that deep inner space of energy and awareness, empty and silent, which is the Antar Mouna the course is named for.
- Witnessing the senses, and then the mind
- Working with thought and emotion directly
- Suitable for beginners as well as long practitioners
- Taught within the Satyananda tradition
