Shankar Prasad is located in the village of Bankikodla, five kilometres from the temple beach town, Gokarna in Karnataka (see map below).

From Gokarna Road Rail Station or Gokarna bus stand get a taxi/auto/bus to Bankikodla, near Anand Ashram High school. Shankar Prasad is near the high school, behind it, on the same side of the road.

From Bangalore (493 km): you can get there by over-night/sleeper bus to Gokarna bus stand or Karwar and get off at Gokarna road Cross (MaadanGevre).

SRS buses are best – http://www.srsbooking.com/ and VRL are fastest.

From Kerala or Mumbai (711 km), you can get any train traveling on the Konkan coastal railway, stopping at Gokarna Road, Ankola, Kumta or Honnavar. Hyderabad is 655 km away.

The nearest airport is Goa; you can then get a train from Thivim in Goa, or taxi which we can send to pick you up (about 135 km, 3 hours) or pre-paid to Gokarna/Bankikodla.
